Johan Winquist joined Beactica in 2016 and was promoted to Head of Operations in 2020. Before joining Beactica he has held positions at Karo Bio Pharma, Semcon, and GE Healthcare. Johan will serve as the project coordinator for GLIOBREAK.

Johan received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Uppsala University, focusing on using SPR-based biosensors to reduce attrition in pre-clinical drug discovery, under the supervision of Prof. Helena Danielson. Johan did a postdoc in biophysics with Prof. Gerhard Klebe at University of Marburg.
